This is the basic PowerPoint 2007 interface. |

This is the basic slide show menu. |

| |
Once you click on the slide show button at the top of the basic interface, this menu will drop down. It is divided into three basic sections covering different tasks. Below we will look at each of these different tasks. |

| Task One : Start Slide Show |
| |
| |
You can start your slide show from the beginning of the project. The shortcut key for this is F5. |
| |

You can start your slide show from the current slide you are working on. The shortcut key for this is Shift+F5. |
| |

| |
You can customize your slide show. This allows you to only display certian slides you select. |
| |

Task Two: Set Up |
| |
| |
The set up slide show tool allows you to set up options for viewing your show in advance. |
| |
|
| |
| |
The hide slide tool allows you to hide different slides depending on your needs. |
| |
|
| |
| |
The record narration tool allows you to record your narration prior to your presentation. |
| |
|
| |
| |
The rehearse timings tool allows you to practice the timing you would like to impliment into your presentation. This tool launches the full-screen version of your slide show and times how long you spend on each slide. You can then have the program run that same timing automatically in the future. |

The use rehearsed timings tool allows you to select which rehearsed timing setting you would like to use. |

Task Three: Monitors |
| |
| |
The resolution button allows you to adjust the resolution used in your show. This will aid in faster downloading times or clearer images depending on the specific needs of individual presentations. |

| |
The show presentation on button allows you to use a different resolution for the computer your presentation will be shown on from the computer you as the speaker will see the presentation. This works well for presentors using screens or projectors. |

| |
The use presenter view button allows you to project the full-screen view on one monitor while viewing a special speaker view on a different monitor. This will allow you to see your timing and your notes while presenting. |

| |
The use current resolution button allows you to see what resolution setting you are currently in and also allows you to adjust the resolution. |
